NF3 Distillation Cold Box |
|
The
purification process takes crude (55%) low pressure NF3 from
the production facility, passes the gas through an adsorber bed to remove
water, CO2 and NOx. The gas is compressed and fed to
the distillation cold box (above) where the NF3 is liquefied.
Two distillation columns remove light and heavy contaminants. Three day
tanks store the purified liquid (99.997%) NF3. The liquid
is then vaporized and compressed for filling into cylinders, ton
containers and ISO trailers. EGS engineered and designed the entire
purification system. The cold box was fabricated in the US, the remaining
components were built in South Africa under EGS supervision.
